Notice
BytePane ("the Website") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects all users of our Website to do the same. This DMCA Policy outlines our procedures for responding to notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), Title 17, United States Code, Section 512. BytePane is committed to complying with all applicable copyright laws and will respond promptly to any properly submitted claims of infringement. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used or displayed on BytePane in a manner that constitutes copyright infringement, please follow the notification procedures described below to submit a formal DMCA takedown notice.
Copyright Ownership
All original content on BytePane, including but not limited to tool interfaces, page designs, written descriptions, blog articles, statistical compilations, cheat sheets, educational content, and source code, is the intellectual property of BytePane and is protected by applicable copyright laws. The tools provided by BytePane process user-supplied input entirely within the browser and do not store, copy, or redistribute any user-submitted content. BytePane does not claim ownership over any data, code, or text that users input into our tools. The output generated by our tools is derived directly from user input and is not independently copyrightable by BytePane. Users retain all rights to their own input and any output produced from that input.
Permitted Use
You may use BytePane's tools for personal, educational, and commercial purposes as described in our Terms of Service. However, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of BytePane's original content without prior written permission, except as permitted by fair use doctrine or other applicable exceptions under copyright law. Unauthorized use of BytePane's proprietary content may violate copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws and could result in civil or criminal penalties.
DMCA Notice Procedure
If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on behalf of a copyright owner, and you believe that content on BytePane infringes your copyright, you may submit a written DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. To be effective, your notice must be in writing and include all of the following elements as required by Section 512(c)(3) of the DMCA:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, provide a representative list of such works.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, and information reasonably sufficient to permit BytePane to locate the material on the Website. Please provide the specific URL or URLs where the allegedly infringing content is located.
- Your contact information, including your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Failure to include all required elements may result in your notice being deemed insufficient, and BytePane may be unable to process your request. Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and legal fees.
Designated Agent
All DMCA takedown notices should be sent to BytePane's designated copyright agent at the following email address:
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, BytePane will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material. We will make a good faith effort to contact the party that posted the content so that they may file a counter-notice if they believe the removal was made in error.
Counter-Notice
If you believe that material you posted on BytePane was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notice to our designated agent. To be effective under Section 512(g) of the DMCA, your counter-notice must include all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access was disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
- Your full legal name, mailing address, and telephone number, along with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which BytePane may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice or an agent of such person.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, BytePane will forward a copy to the original complaining party. If the original complainant does not file a court action within ten (10) to fourteen (14) business days of receiving the counter-notice, BytePane may restore the removed material at its discretion.
Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, BytePane has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, the accounts or access of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. BytePane may also, at its sole discretion, limit access to the Website or terminate the ability to use the Website of any user who infringes any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement. A repeat infringer is a user who has been the subject of more than one valid DMCA takedown notice. BytePane reserves the right to determine what constitutes repeat infringement and to take appropriate action accordingly.
Misrepresentation
Please be aware that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be subject to liability for damages. This includes damages, costs, and attorneys' fees incurred by the alleged infringer, by any copyright owner or copyright owner's authorized licensee, or by BytePane, if injured by such misrepresentation. Before filing a DMCA notice or counter-notice, you should carefully consider whether the material in question actually infringes your copyright or was legitimately removed. If you are not sure whether material available online infringes your copyright, we recommend consulting an attorney before filing a notification.
Trademark
BytePane and the BytePane logo are trademarks of BytePane. All other trademarks, service marks, trade names, and logos appearing on the Website are the property of their respective owners. The appearance of third-party trademarks on BytePane does not imply any affiliation with, endorsement by, or sponsorship by the trademark owner. Fair Use
BytePane recognizes and respects the doctrine of fair use as established under Section 107 of the United States Copyright Act. Fair use allows for the limited use of copyrighted material without permission for purposes such as criticism, commentary, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. BytePane may, in certain circumstances, use copyrighted material in a manner that constitutes fair use, including in educational content, blog articles, tool descriptions, and statistical compilations. When evaluating DMCA takedown requests, BytePane will consider whether the allegedly infringing use may qualify as fair use under applicable law before taking action. However, BytePane is not obligated to make a fair use determination and may, at its discretion, remove or disable access to content in response to a valid DMCA notice regardless of potential fair use defenses.
Third-Party Content
BytePane may link to or reference third-party websites, tools, documentation, specifications, or other external resources. BytePane does not control, host, or claim ownership of any third-party content. We are not responsible for the copyright compliance of any external content linked from our Website. If you believe that a third-party link on BytePane directs to infringing content, you should contact the operator of the third-party website directly. However, you may also notify BytePane at [email protected], and we will consider removing or disabling the link at our discretion. BytePane does not store, cache, or host any user-submitted data on its servers, as all tool processing occurs client-side in the user's browser.

BytePane reserves the right to modify, update, or revise this DMCA Policy at any time and at our sole discretion. Any changes to this policy will be effective immediately upon posting the updated version on this page. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent revisions were made.
